is it cool to wear jeans to a job interview? like, if i am dressed nicely otherwise? for some reason i just feel like i’ll be less nervous if i have jeans on

It depends on what the place is, but I’m going to go ahead and say no. You project a professionalism and dedication to making a very specifically good first impression if you go for it, even if the place is more casual by nature. Or so I’ve been told, anyway.

don’t wear jeans to the storycorps interview.  you don’t need to wear a suit or even a tie, but don’t wear jeans.

thanks ladies, i didn’t do it.  of course 2 out of the 3 interviewers were wearing jeans and hoodies, but it does feel better to be overdressed than under.  i was still nervous, but i don’t think it had anything to do with pants.  hopefully that went well..
